The talk was part of the program of the GOMO Festival of Creativity, promoted by Juicyhub, in Santos, São Paulo.
I spoke about visual narrative as a language that uses not words, but forms. Image reading opens up spaces in our imagination and creates sensitive, affective, symbolic, rhythmic, and temporal experiences that shape our sensibility. I showed how to train the eye to perceive the narrative subtleties of visual language and, to illustrate this, I used picture books, works of art, and photographs.
