Illustration for CreativeMornings

CreativeMornings began in New York as a regular, free, and accessible event for the creative community, with a simple format: breakfast and a short talk based on a monthly theme. Today, it takes place in cities around the world, bringing people together to share coffee, ideas, and connections. Each chapter is organized by volunteers.

To create the illustration for the March 2026 theme, LOCAL, I wanted the image to convey a sense of belonging—a place where we build our identity, where our affections and memories live; where we grow and, above all, where our lives truly unfold. A surrounding environment that shapes us and forms a large part of who we are. I used acrylic paint and colored pencil on cardstock. I gifted the original piece to Ludmilla Rossi, who leads the event in Santos.
